SOUNDWAVES INFORMATION

Soundwaves, was formed in 1974 by members of the Sunderland Hospital Broadcasting Organisation at their studios in the Havelock Hospital.  It moved to the present premises in 1981.  The current building is a converted hardware store and flat in Toronto Road, Thorney Close, Sunderland.

Sound Waves is a registered charity, No: 505124 and is a member of The Talking News Federation.

We are looking for volunteers for a couple of hours a week, so if you have some spare time then we would like to meet you on Thursday from 1.30pm to 3.15pm (The Sunderland Echo) and Tuesday from 5.00pm to 7.00pm (The Red & White Soundbytes).
